Tact: the soothing gift few appear to possess

Patience is important in life, of that there is no doubt; but patience with tact is golden.
Tact is the art of allowing other people to finish their points of view before interrupting, but it’s more than that; it’s the ability to feel with the other person, identify where their head space is and act and react in kind. Tact is unassuming and not overbearing and when filled with kindness allows the person to glow and become a conduit of energy for all the people around them.
Customer Service jobs require tact to be used and employed in all situations, because dealing with peers and or people in general can be the difference between short employment and longevity. Whether one has the skills or not when a new job is taken on; the tactful person will be the one standing at the end of the day because they are nice to be around and are not a “heavy” person to interact with. Heavy meaning overbearing, rude or arrogant; three items tactful people have none of in their divine arsenal.
So how do people become tactful, is it a gift or a personality trait?

So how do people become tactful, is it a gift or a personality trait?
There are many factors in developing the skills of tact, but the one at the front of the line is the way a child is brought up by their parents. Never underestimate the effect a parent has on a child. Parents lead by example; if a mother or father often interrupts conversations, comes from an overbearing ethnic background, or is just plain rude; the child will not learn to be tactful unless they have a very soft personality brought from their last life.
If one is lucky enough to have a parent which works with the public on a daily basis, and is often happy and upbeat, this is the model from which the child can grow into a tactful wizard; and they will be sought after in any industry which values people skills over technical skills. Reputable employers looking for longevity from their employees, and a good working atmosphere, specifically look for people like this because at the end of the day their company’s reputation is at stake. These decisions can make the difference between financial success and failure along with employee retention. |

Working environments are essential for the success of the workplace thus a happy workspace is a cohesive one which is often filled with laughter and good vibrations, thus making all employees feel it’s their home away from home. If some people in the office are not tactful, and are overbearing and out of synch with the majority of their peers, they soon rear their head and need to be dealt with tactfully. This can be an arduous task if their home and ethnic background is one of constant conflict and competition.
A home filled with love and cooperation will spawn loving and tactful children into society thus bringing solutions to everyday problems, or perhaps avoid the creation of problems in the first place! This is what this earth requires going forward; a new type of attitude from humanity; one filled with compassion, understanding, tact and empathy. As the world fills up with these types of people it will begin to sparkle with bubbling vibrations of happiness! |
Tact is a state of mind, and is used as such in all situations in life; thus it is a rewarding heart/mind structure which enables people to get the world to revolve around less conflict and more caring. Tactful people are passionate about life, and love nothing more than seeing everyone happy around them; this is a tonic which can cure whatever ails mankind now and for centuries to come.
